This is a dairy sheep breed from Greece. For the purposes of the present project, a population of approximately 600 animals managed by 3SR partner Aristotle University of Thessaloniki will be used in QTL validation. Genotypes will be based on analyses with 384 SNP arrays. Phenotypes will pertain to milk somatic cell count incidence of mastitis and milk bacteriological tests.
